I have been dealing in watch restoration for twenty years and employ 5 highly qualified, Swiss-trained watchmakers. My watchmaking career began at Somlo Antiques so I have been fortunate to handle quality watches from day one! Timepieces covering the entire Swiss watch spectrum, from 18th century pocket watches and repeaters, to vintage and modern wristwatches. During my time at Somlo Antiques, I began investing in machinery to manufacture bespoke components which were becoming obsolete. Once all the machines were operational, I decided to leave and set up on my own. All of my watchmaking team joined me! SHWR (Steven Hale Watch Restoration) was established in 2005, and from the first day of opening has grown beyond targeted forecasts, making our workshop second to none for timepiece restoration in the UK, if not in Europe.
